Lost? Trapped? Out of air? When every breath counts, this could be your Last Chance to get out.

* Snaps on to most SCBA masks in seconds
* Converts deadly Carbon Monoxide (CO) to non-toxic CO2
* Filters out particulates, Cyanide & other harmful gasses
* Provides 15 minutes of breathable air for rescue or escape
* Small, convenient to carry, very easy to deploy
* Comes with protective Nomex carry pouch

Snap a Last Chance Rescue Filter® onto your SCBA and breathe a little easier. Suddenly you’ve got 15 minutes of breathable air—and time to escape. Invented by New Haven, Connecticut firefighter, Eric George to fill a critical need. In an SCBA emergency, the Last Chance Rescue Filter can provide an endangered firefighter with critical time needed for a self-escape…or to wait for RIT. At 3.25” diameter, about 5.5” long, and less than one pound, this potential lifesaver is small, lightweight, and easy to carry in its protective Nomex pouch. You can put it on your SCBA harness, tool belt, and straps of all kinds; clip it to any convenient attachment point with a carabiner (available separately); or just keep it in a turnout gear pocket. Your Last Chance Rescue Filter will always be available for deployment.

Specially configured to fit your mask. Engineered for the hazards you face. Each filter is specifically designed for a fast, secure, airtight attachment to your Scott, MSA, or Draeger SCBA mask—in the same way you would install a secondary regulator. The patented 3-stage filter systematically traps dangerous particulates from the smoke and adsorbs or neutralizes harmful gasses created as by-products of the combustion. Then it uses a chemical reaction to convert highly toxic Carbon Monoxide (CO) to non-toxic carbon dioxide (CO2). What’s left is warmed, dry, but safely breathable air that allows you to make use of the oxygen that’s available. Once in place and cleared by exhaling through the filter, you can breathe normally for 15 minutes. This gives you valuable time to continue calling for help and immediately begin your escape.

This you've got to see.
“Mayday! Mayday!” We’ve all heard the haunting call for help as a firefighter runs out of air in a building that’s rapidly filling with smoke. This excellent and instructive video demonstrates how the Last Chance Rescue Filter can be the difference between a firefighter’s funeral…and a grateful return to family and friends. See for yourself why it could be your ticket out.

Technical Information:

* Intended Use: The Last Chance Rescue Filter is intended to be used for escape only, in an out-of-air emergency occurring while using a Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA). The Last Chance Rescue Filter is a single use device to be used in smoke and fire environments where there is enough oxygen to survive (most structural fires do contain sufficient oxygen to sustain life). Once you put on your Last Chance Rescue Filter you should immediately head for safety. Using your Last Chance Rescue Filter to enter or to extend your time in hazardous areas may result in serious bodily injury and/or death.
* Duration of Use: The Last Chance Rescue Filter is rated to provide 15 minutes of protection against exposure to toxic gases. Longer time durations can be achieved against less severe environments. (Reference the Challenge Atmosphere Data above)
* Number of uses: This device is intended to be used one time only. Opening the protective foil packaging immediately initiates its function and begins the filter’s 15-minute active use cycle whether installed on a mask or not. It cannot be safely reused. Exposed filters should be disposed of after any use, whether applied in hazardous conditions on a correct SCBA mask or not.
* Dimensions:

o Filter: 3.25” diameter x 4.5”- 5.5” tall, depending on mask adapter.
o Filter in Carry Pouch: 4.5” diameter x approx 6.5” tall

* Weight: Less than 1 lb. (450 grams).
* Packaging: Consists of an inner moisture-resistant, vacuum-sealed foil barrier pouch; plus a protective Nomex® carrying pouch. The Last Chance Rescue Filter’s packaging is a critical component in the proper use and effectiveness of the filter itself.
* Shelf Life: 5-1/2 years from date of manufacture, providing the unit remains vacuum-sealed in its foil barrier pouch. NOTE: Opening the pouch or breaking the vacuum seal immediately begins its 15 minute service life. After 15 minutes it may no longer offer protection. Regular inspection of the Last Chance vacuum seal is critical to assuring performance.
* Disposal: Last Chance Rescue Filters pose no environmental hazard after use. The exposed unit may simply be disposed of as non-hazardous waste.
* Available Systems: The Last Chance Rescue System Filters and Trainer Systems are currently made to fit:

o Draeger Panorama Nova P, Futura P, F2P, and FPS 7000 masks
o Scott AV-2000, AV-3000, and Scott O-Vista masks
o MSA FireHawk masks

The last Chance Rescue Filter Assembly has been tested against the following toxic gases:

NOTE: Because all fire situations are unique, it is impossible to predict exactly what toxic fumes will be given off. The Last Chance Rescue Filter has been designed in consideration of testing done by recognized international regulatory agencies that have studied fires. The Last Chance Rescue Filter will effectively remove common fire scene contaminates, based on these international studies. However, it is not possible to guarantee that the Last Chance Rescue Filter will remove all contaminates from any particular fire.

SIZE and FIT:
The Last Chance Rescue Filter and Trainer Systems are offered with adapters designed to fit specific SCBA systems. Be certain that the Last Chance Rescue Filter and Trainer you choose is made to fit the SCBA that you are using.
